Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) When you are ready to change your alcohol and other drug use, or you are concerned about someone else, Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) Auckland is here to help.
CADS aims to minimise harm caused by alcohol and other drug use to both individuals and community. Our free services are available to anybody in the Auckland region wanting to solve an alcohol or drug-related question, issue or problem. We do this by offering individual and family inclusive counselling, support groups, medical detoxification (inpatient and outpatient), a methadone programme and online groups. All our services are accessed by calling 845 1818
Availability: Charges: All services are provided free of charge to New Zealand residents. Referrals: No referral necessary, although we do accept referrals from health professionals. Te Atea Marino - Maori Service (Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services) Our service is a team of Māori workers who are available to support Tangata Whaiora and their whānau with any substance misuse issues. At Te Ātea Marinō we offer you a range of support, counselling, and consultation options in a culturally appropriate treatment environment. We provide specialist services for: - Rangatahi (youth) - Kaimanaaki ukaipo (pregnant women and parents with young children). - Ariari o te oranga (consumers of mental health service with substance abuse issues). - Whanau of those who have alcohol and drug issues

Raukura Hauora O Tainui Trust Ka Awatea Alcohol and Drug Community Service: 10 week programme open to males and females 18 years and above. Offers: - one-to-one counselling - open men and women group sessions - follow up service - assessments - court reports - working with families affected by alcohol and drugs. Te Oho Ake Alcohol and Drug Youth Service : 10 week Alcohol and Drug programme open to males and females 20 years and below. Includes: - Alcohol and Drug education and awareness - Open group sessions - Follow up service - Assessments - Working with families affected by alcohol and drugs. Te Ara Hau Alcohol and Drug Residential Service : Open to males only 18 years and above. 26 week Alcohol and Drug residential service offers one-to-one counselling. Closed men's group sessions.
Includes: - Whakapakari (feeling and emotion) - Te Toi O Matariki (behaviour characteristics) - Te Kai O Te Rangatira (alcohol and drug) - Te Reo Maori (Maori language) - Ruaumoko (anger management) - Manutaki (research of whakapapa) - Mau Rakau (hand-eye coordination) - Whakapai te Whenua (maintenance) - Roopu ki Waho (community resources) - One-to-one counselling. Charges: Some charges apply. Clients receive the sickness benefit allowance from Work and Income, the service receives the accommodation allowance. Target Audience's: Male Referral: Anyone can access this service/programme Length: 26 week programme.

Waiuku Franklin Alcohol Issues The Franklin District Council (Council) has developed a proposed Liquor Control Bylaw to address issues and problems arising from the consumption of liquor in specified public places in the Franklin District.The Local Government Act 2002 (LGA) requires Council to consult with the community using the special consultative procedure prior to adopting a bylaw.
