Family Violence Advice and Support
South Auckland Violence Prevention Network : Anyone is welcome to attend the monthly meetings and/ or join the Network. - A phone service is available to individuals, professionals or agencies requiring information about the support options for people facing issues of family abuse. Family Violence Information Line. A Family Violence Information Line that provides self-help information and connects people to services where appropriate. Franklin Family Support Centre http://www.familysupport.org.nz To empower families and individuals with financial, personal or family issues by providing professional, compassionate and caring social services and educational programmes. SupportLine Refuge Provide support and safe shelter for women and children who have been abused, thus enhancing the family's ability to keep themselves safe and free from fear. Availability: 24 hours. Services include: Safe housing for women who have children and have left a domestic violence situation. Advocacy on behalf of the women and children with agencies including Work and Income, Housing NZ, schools etcetera . Care of children while the women attend groups on site at the Refuge .
